Product Review: Opi's You Don't Know Jacques!

So I have a list of subscriptions on YouTube and one of my subscriptions is lollipop26. She has a cute English accent and she was doing a haul video and I absolutely love the nail polish she was using. It’s this matte dark brown-gray color. So let me introduce to you…OPI’s You Don’t Know Jacques!

OPI is my favorite brand for nail polishes because the quality is great and of course the colors. Not only do they have a vast array of colors to choose from but they also have great nail treatments too. You Don’t Know Jacques! is from the France Collection (currently the newest one) and the France Collection holds many red/orange shades so it seems a bit odd that this nail polish is with it.

Pros: The color of You Don’t Know Jacques! Is pretty rare, I’ve never own a color like this before. I really like that it’s also matte. I tend to gravitate towards the matte’s more than the shimmer. It just looks cleaner to me and since I work in a professional environment I know it’s safe to use. I also like the matte shades because it just looks plain sexy and sophisticated. I also love the brush tips from OPI, it’s wide so it gets the job done fast. So in three strokes I got one nail done!
Cons: The only con I can think of is that 2-3 coats are needed for the true color to appear but that’s the case with most nail polishes. Also I noticed that once the the shine is gone it looks unattractive. So a continuous layer of top coats every other day is recommended. Also the pricing is a bit much but I really wanted it!
Overall: It’s a great color that I believe will compliment any skin tone. The first day I received two compliments on the color already and they wanted to know what the color is. I’m really thinking about getting a backup of this color since I heard that OPI is discontinuing it.
Hope this helps
